PRESIDENT AND TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: THIS IS OUR BATTLE OF THE ATLANTIC MEDAL/CITATION, AWARDED TO MEN/1939-1945-WHOM SERVED IN HOME WATERS and THE ATLANTIC OCEAN, IN THE ROYAL CANADIAN NAVY, MERCHANT MARINERS, ROYAL CANADIAN AIR FORCE-FLYING ANTI-SUBMARINE SORTIES IN COASTAL COMMAND, etc., and ALSO ALL DOMINION MILITARY PERSONNEL, WHOM ALSO SERVED THE REQUIRED TIME AT SEA. THIS MEDAL WAS INTRODUCED BY THE BRITISH ARMY, AND IF EARNED BY THE REQUIRED TIME AT SEA/6 MONTHS FOR NAVAL PERSONNEL, 4 MONTHS FOR AIR FORCE PERSONNEL…WAS ALSO WORN ON DOMINION MILITARY PERSONNEL UNIFORMS, ON A RIBBON BAR-IF EARNED FOR THE APPROPRIATE TIME AT SEA.”
